Other People’s Clothes

参加者は思い出のある服を持ち寄る。日頃は視覚情報で選んでいる服を、その思い出にまつわる作文を読むことで選んだり、他人の服を身に纏ったり、服を主語に置き換えて他人の思い出を話したり……。いつもとは異なる感覚で服と他人に出会っていく。

Participants bring items of clothing that hold special memories for them. We normally choose our clothing on the basis of visual information, but here participants select them by reading descriptions of those memories, wear the other people’s clothes, and talk about the memories as if it is the clothes who are reminiscing. By so doing, they encounter clothing and other people in a different way.
