Overlapping Traces

This work was part of an exhibition held in a hotel. Taking a cue from the highly particular nature of the venue as a place where new people come and go every day, I wanted to witness the various ways in which the clothes of the different people who have stayed at the hotel to date were taken off and put down. The assemblage of different clothes placed in different ways could be regarded as a new kind of outfit created by the room in the hotel. On the rooftop next to the room, a performance was held with reproductions of the furniture in miniature and distilling the ways in which different people take off their clothes as vestiges of their actions. Visitors could watch the performance through the window of the room, as if viewing footage on a screen.
